TECH SPACE
Tech Space is a web-based online discussion forum for Computer Science Students at the Cross River University of Technology. This project was built from scratch alongside a designer and a software developer using NextJS, Supabase, and Vercel.
OVERVIEW
PROJECT PURPOSE AND GOAL
Preliminary research shows that there is no existing web-based communication platform amongst students to interact and discuss academic-related issues. The system used is the WhatsApp messaging app which has limited participant restriction. This project aims to synergize communication and interaction amongst students of Computer Science at the Cross River University of Technology.
PROBLEMS AND THOUGHT PROCESS
I found connecting redux to Next.js a bit challenging as it was my first time using redux to build a large project.
WEB STACK AND EXPLANATION
Next.js is a powerful tool for web performance. Its SEO efficiency, server-side rendering, and static site generator make it a powerful tool for building websites. Vercel makes the deployment of applications easier.
LESSON LEARNED
This project helped solidify my knowledge of Nextjs. I also learned a lot by practicing my skills and gaining hand-on-experience.
